A long-horizon learning platform for young people to practise direction, responsibility, courage and connection in the real world.

SIX CAPABILITIES FOR THE JOURNEY AHEAD

Skills matter. So does the judgement to know when and how to use them. Each capability joins practical learning to a larger human question.

  1. Navigation

    Read a map, understand position, plan a route and make decisions as conditions change.

  2. Seamanship

    Learn how a boat, its systems and its crew work safely as one.

  3. Weather

    Watch wind, cloud, wave and tide; notice how the natural world is always speaking.

    We cannot control the sea. We learn to understand it.

  4. Courage

    Face distance, darkness and difficult choices with preparation and a clear head.

  5. Teamwork

    Take a role, communicate clearly and carry responsibility for the crew.

    Sometimes you lead. Sometimes you follow. Always you contribute.

  6. Global Citizenship

    Meet each place through its people, language, culture and everyday life—not as a spectator.

    Listen first. Share the challenge. Record the story. Leave with a real connection.

GROW WITH THE JOURNEY

From contributing as Crew to carrying responsibility as Captain, each stage imagines a deeper level of skill, independence and care for others.

    Build foundations in sailing, navigation, safety and working as a team.

    Navigator

    Grow into greater responsibility through future multi-day expedition learning.

  3. Level 3

    Explorer

    Step into cross-regional and future international exploration with greater independence.

  4. Level 4

    Voyager

    Prepare for longer Maritime Silk Road journeys and deeper cultural encounters.

  5. Level 5

    Captain

    Carry leadership, navigation and mentoring responsibilities for younger crew.

This is a long-term programme vision in development, not a currently open enrolment or certification pathway.

That sentence holds the ambition: not one impressive week, but years of encounters and responsibilities that help a young person become more capable of navigating life.
